The Norwegian ambassador was interested in student safety

On 18 September 2020, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Terje Theodor Nervik, visited the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice. The ambassador wanted to verify the conditions under which Norwegian students will study in the new academic year. Many students and their parents contact the embassy in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. They are worried if they can come and, if necessary, leave. They are curious about the current situation in Slovakia and measures related to health protection. Accompanied by Mariann Ruud Hagen and Lívia Cseres, the Norwegian Ambassador met with the university leadership. Rector Jana Mojžišová, vice-rector for Education Martin Tomko and other vice-rectors informed about the measures, strict hygienic rules and the organization of the new academic year. It starts at UVMF on Monday, September 21st. The rector of UVMP assured the Norwegian ambassador that the school is doing its utmost for the safety of the students.
