In view of the current safety and preventive measures taken in connection with COVID-19 infection, we would like to inform you about the conditions under which further continuation of the teaching process will take place:
1. From February 15th 2021, the teaching in the spring semester continues in an online distance form for all students of the UVMP in Košice until revoked.
2. Students of the 6th year of General Veterinary Medicine (including post BSc.) study programme continue with self-study, theoretical preparation for the upcoming state examinations and preparation of their diploma theses. Planned practical (in person) teaching in the next state examination block will not start sooner than on March 8th 2021. Students will be informed about its exact beginning in advance.
3. It is possible for all students of the 5th year of General Veterinary Medicine (including post BSc.) study programme to:
a) Perform clinical practice under supervision of the private veterinary surgeons in the place of their residence, according to the instructions that were sent to the students’ email addresses.
b) Perform clinical practice at the UVMP clinics upon prior mutual agreement with head of the respective clinic (or authorized person – guarantor of the practice), which are in accordance with the Decree of the Public Health Care Authority of the Slovak Republic No. 45 and 49, Section 1, paragraph 2, item g) (restriction does not apply to animal feed stores and veterinary clinics). Maximum number of students present at the UVMP workplaces is limited to 2. Students have to have a FFP2 respirator, gloves and negative test result of antigen test for COVID-19 disease performed at the free antigen testing centre at the UVMP in Košice, Building No. 32. Accommodation in the UVMP Dormitories for the purpose of practice completion is not allowed.
4. Students of the final years (especially the 6th year of General Veterinary Medicine (including post BSc.) study programme) are allowed to complete the practical part of the diploma theses at individual university workplaces upon prior mutual agreement between the tutor and the student. Accommodation in the UVMP Dormitories is not allowed.
5. Performance of the clinical practice and work on theses at the university is conditioned by providing a negative test result of antigen or RT-PCR test not older than 7 days from the beginning of clinical practice performance or work on the thesis.
6. Students coming from abroad are allowed to start performance of the clinical practice and work on theses at the university only after fulfilling quarantine obligations upon entering the territory of the Slovak Republic in accordance with the valid Decree of the Public Health Care Authority of the Slovak Republic. Students will confirm this fact by filling out a health questionnaire at https://covid-19.uvlf.sk/en/health-questionnaire-for-students
7. Subject guarantors (or persons authorized by the guarantor), tutors and university security staff are entitled to request confirmation not older than 7 days of a negative result of RT-PCR test or antigen test for COVID-19 disease at the beginning of attendance, performance of the clinical practice and work on theses.
University reserves the right to make changes in the published instructions according to the current developments of the epidemiological situation in connection with COVID-19 and measures of the Chief Hygienist of the Slovak Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic.
