Instructions to the further continuation of the block teaching process for the students of the 6th year in the academic year 2020/2021

In view of the current safety and preventive measures taken in connection with COVID-19 infection, we would like to inform you about the conditions under which further block teaching process will take place:

1. Practical (in person) block teaching process begins for students of the 6th year of General Veterinary Medicine (including post BSc.) study programme from March 8th 2021.
2. Practical (in person) block teaching process will take place in small groups of maximum 6 people including teacher, according to the schedule of the relevant clinic. Schedule for teaching will be sent by the relevant workplace to the students on their assigned student e-mails.
3. Wearing of respirators, gloves and other personal protective equipment is carried out in accordance with the currently valid decrees and measures of the Public Health Care Authority of the Slovak Republic in the event of a threat to public health. Emphasis is placed on increased hand hygiene (frequent washing and disinfection of hands).
4. Only FFP 2 or FFP 3 respirators are accepted in contact with persons.
5. Accommodation in student dormitories is conditioned by providing a negative result of an antigen or RT-PCR test not older than 48 hours.
6. Negative test result does not have to be submitted in case:
a) student has overcome COVID-19 disease in the last three months, attested by a certificate,
b) student is vaccinated against COVID-19 disease also with a second dose of the vaccine and at least 14 days have elapsed since the second vaccination.
7. Testing for COVID-19 during the block teaching process shall be carried out directly at the free antigen testing centre at the UVMP in Košice, Building No. 32, open from Monday to Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (last test is taken at 7:05 p.m.).
8. Only students who meet conditions of par. 6 or students who provide a negative result of an antigen test in accordance with par. 7 not older than 24 hours will be allowed to begin practical (in person) block teaching process.
9. During the practical (in person) block teaching process, it is necessary for students to provide every 4 days a negative result of antigen test performed in accordance with par. 7.
10. Accommodation in student dormitories is allowed for students who will begin practical (in person) block teaching process. They can be accommodated a maximum of one day before the beginning of teaching, with the exception of foreign students. It is not allowed to travel home during block teaching.
11. Ban on meeting must be strictly observed during the stay in the student dormitories. In case of non-compliance with the instructions, student must leave the student dormitories immediately, his/her accommodation will be cancelled and he/she will be subject to the disciplinary committee for students.
12. Before beginning of practical (in person) block teaching process, students are required to fill out a health questionnaire at https://covid-19.uvlf.sk/en/health-questionnaire-for-students
13. Students coming from abroad are allowed to begin practical (in person) block teaching process only after fulfilling quarantine obligations upon entering the territory of the Slovak Republic in accordance with the valid decree of the Public Health Care Authority of the Slovak Republic. Students will confirm this fact by filling out a health questionnaire at https://covid-19.uvlf.sk/en/health-questionnaire-for-students
14. If the student shows symptoms of acute respiratory disease or comes into contact with a person tested positive for COVID-19, the student proceeds in accordance with the valid decree of the Public Health Care

Authority of the Slovak Republic and is obliged to register on the UVMP COVID-19 website, report this information to the Study Office (zas@uvlf.sk), Department of Safety and Crisis Management (eva.raczova@uvlf.sk) and go to quarantine.
